Pinner Treat was shipped in October 2022 as a search results easter egg to coincide with Halloween. It was created as part of Pinterest’s Makeathon in which design and engineering sprint for 3 days to collaborate on passion projects outside of the scope of usual priorities.

The curation tool was a CMS utilized by international teams to curate trending editorial formatted content and schedule campaigns for the Explore feature which launched in November of 2016.
